Spanish Grand Slam Beceite Ibex

Spanish Ibex Grand Slam with Joe De Noble

Joe’s first game was the representative Gredos Ibex. Shortly after sighting the gun at 200 yards in the Gredos Mountain Range we spotted a numerous herd of Ibex about 400 yards away. Hunting the European Roe Deer in Spain

If you are familiar to European hunting and you have visited the trophy room of some European hunters you have definitely seen that the Roe buck is found in most on most of the European trophy walls. This article is going to talk about this precious and elegant trophy and about the best methods of hunting the European Roe deer in Spain.

The peculiarities of the European Roe deer

The European Roe deer, also know as the Roe Buck is relatively small compared to the other types of deer in Europe, like Red deer (Red Stag) or Fallow deer. Spain Hunting trip with tourism, Lance Caskey, 2016

Normally before a hunter and his observers come to Spain we have already settled the general itinerary with them. But if you have ever been on a hunting trip you know that hunting is not a precise science and we depend totally on the weather conditions: precipitations, temperature, wind, fog etc. On the other hand we also depend on the “mood” of the animals. Sometimes they are not where they usually hang out and sometimes you bump into them in the least expected areas. Because, you already know: “That´s hunting!”

Lance and his wife hunted in Spain with us during 7 days and during this week we have lived many different experiences and learned a lot about the Spanish tradition, culture and cuisine.

And according to the scoring of the animal, this person will have to pay the extra points of their animals.
This article will explain the scoring systems and measurements for the 4 different species of the Spanish ibex.
