1)TRANSPORT AND COMPANY

Transport and ground transfers are also covered and taken care of throughout your stay in Spain. Caza Hispánica´s staff is in charge of picking up the hunters from the airport and accompanying them to their lodging in the hunting area, whenever the itinerary was settled that way.

Caza Hispánica has a team of professional hunters in charge of taking good care of our clients, for whom we have a fleet of 4×4 vehicles. These vehicles are prepared to run without problems throughout the hunting areas and to transport our clients and their companions in total comfort. During the day of the hunt the necessary equipment will be carried as well. All through the hunting expeditions these cars will reach any possible roads, and while out of the car our professional hunters and guides will make sure you will enjoy the thrill and the hunting experience.

A bilingual Caza Hispánica interpreter accompanies the hunter at all times during the stay in our country, not only during the hunt. You will feel welcome and entertained during your stay and during the transfer and transport from one point of your itinerary to the next one.

2)HOSTING AND ACCOMMODATION

For all hunting packages purchased at Caza Hispanica, accommodation has been carefully chosen. We have selected for our clients the best rural and modern hotels near hunting areas. These hotels and country houses are in serene places and are equipped with all the facilities and necessary comforts for a good rest after a day of hunting.

Whenever in towns or cities, the lodging is near fine tourist attractions and spectacular views, found in the interior of the countryside of Spain and its magnificent regions or in bigger cities like Madrid, Granada, Sevilla, Valencia, etc. Thus, your companion can enjoy simultaneous activities, such as guided visits and trips to explore the area while avoiding lengthy travel time.

3)MEALS AND BOARDS

Who has ever visited Spain and has not been impressed by our
magnificent meals and traditional cuisine? Spanish olive oil and red wine are included in history books and legends as at least special and at most miraculous, but always wonderful.

Your hunting experience will always be accompanied by fine dishes at prestigious restaurants where you can try authentic Spanish recipes and ingredients. Sea food, fresh fish, orange juice, lamb, baby pig, wine, cured jam and cheese, paella, olive oil and other gourmet experiences will remain in your memory as a gastronomic landmark.

Don´t worry about a thing during your hunting trip to Spain. Caza
Hispanica´s hunting packages include full board accommodation with daily meals included.

Method

The hunting method that we will make use of in our hunting expeditions is
the spot and stalk method, where you actually search and pursue the
animal. The hunter is always accompanied by our professional hunters and
guides who are great experts in the hunting areas and the habits of the
animals at different times of the year.

hunting season

The hunting season for the Ibex goes from early November to the end of
May, although the best hunting dates would be between November and
December as many animals are passing through the rut season. Check the SPECIES link to see the hunting season for each type of animal.

devices

Our staff is equipped with the best optical devices available on the market, binoculars and telescopes up to 60 X.

firearms

Normally hunters prefer to bring their own gun as they feel more
comfortable using a firearm that they are used to, but if it's necessary we can rent rifles for you. The gun that we use is 7mm Remington magnum K95 Blaser rifles, equipped with Zeiss Diavari VM/V 3-12x56T viewfinders.

difficulty

Due to the great amount of acres that we manage, we can adapt the difficulty of the hunt to the physical training conditions of the hunter.

extra: pre-scouting

If you wish you can take benefit from our pre-scouting service, some of our guides can look for the animals several days before the hunting crew arrives in that particular area and in this way during the day of the hunt it
will be easier to locate them.

5)DOCUMENTS

The documentation that the hunter has to have in order to take it with himself is the following one:
• Passport
• Gun Licence
• Guide of arms
• Gun permit -From the Spanish Consulate
• Hunting insurance –provided by Caza Hispánica
• Hunting licence –provided by Caza Hispánica

Procedure on applying for the Gun Permit

• Before your arrival to Spain, Caza Hispanica is going to provide you with an invitation letter that you will have to take to the Spanish Consulate in your country that handles your area. We can send you this letter as soon as we have confirmation that you booked your flights.
• Get in touch with the Spanish Consulate that manages your area and follow their instructions.
• They are going to provide for you the Gun permit that allows you to use your gun on Spanish territory. This gun permit is needed in case you rent your gun in Spain as well. The permit will include the information of the gun that you are going to rent: type, serial number, caliber, gauge, etc.

6)TAXIDERMY

“When taxidermy is done right, it´s an amazing piece of art”

The taxidermy of your trophy is what is going to remind you of your hunt in
Spain with Caza Hispanica forever. You can rely on your personal
taxidermist or you can have it done in Spain by a professional of the
taxidermy of the Spanish species.

After the animal is shot, our guides will handle the first preparation of the
cape on the field (skinning). The next step is to take your trophy and
prepare it for taxidermy.

In order to be allowed for exportation, the cape, skull and horns need to
undergo a special treatment in Spain: skin salt, dip and in some cases early
tanning. This process normally takes no more than 6 months as the cape
needs to be completely cured and dry before exportation.

If the hunter wishes so, Caza Hispanica can handle the taxidermy for your
trophies with the area's best taxidermists and send your trophies to your
address when they are prepared.
